About Light Dropper
Scope of Services
Light Dropper offers interactive 3D references of the face, body, and more. These references are designed to be viewed and manipulated in the web browser for use as visual reference when creating artwork and other creative work.
Eligibility
Our services are available to individuals who are of legal age in their jurisdiction, which is at least 18 years of age or older, and have the legal capacity to agree to these terms. By accessing the Light Dropper website, you confirm that you meet these requirements. Light Dropper does not knowingly collect or solicit personal information from anyone under 18 years of age.
No Guarantees
Our references are provided as educational and artistic tools. While we aim to offer accurate and useful references of the face, body, and more, we do not guarantee any particular artistic, educational, or commercial outcome from your use of them. The references are provided for informational and reference purposes only and should not be considered a substitute for formal training or professional instruction.
Relationship Between the Parties
These terms do not establish a partnership, joint venture, employment, or agency relationship between you and Light Dropper. Neither party has the authority to bind or obligate the other in any way.
Using Light Dropper
User Conduct
By using our services, you agree NOT to:
What’s Ours and What’s Yours: Intellectual Property
The references and other materials provided by Light Dropper are protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the references we provide as visual reference in the creation of your own original work (for example, an illustration, painting, or other artwork).

Your work is yours: You retain all rights to the original works you create using the references, provided that your work is a genuinely new creative work and not a substantial reproduction of a model itself. The references are an input to your creative process, not a component of your final work.

Limits on the models themselves: This license is limited to using the references as reference. While our tool may store a local copy of a model on your device so that it can remember your setup, that copy is provided solely to make the reference work within the Services. You may not redistribute, resell, publish, or otherwise share the underlying 3D models, treat them as a standalone asset, or present a model itself as your deliverable, whether individually or as part of a collection. You may not remove any copyright or proprietary notices from our materials.

Models from third-party sources: Some of the models we provide are derived from third-party open-source or public-domain assets, including assets dedicated to the public domain and scans of classical works of art. Our inclusion of these models as references does not transfer to you any ownership of the underlying models, and does not grant you rights beyond using them as reference within the Services. If you wish to use any underlying model beyond referencing it within the Services, you are responsible for determining and complying with the specific license or usage guidelines that apply to that model. Usage terms for classical and museum-held works in particular vary by institution and by jurisdiction, and you should seek out and review the applicable guidelines before relying on them.

A note on originality: Due to the nature of our interactive tool, you should be aware that it is possible other people may create identical configurations of references (lighting, camera, angle, colors, etc.) and that each creation is not in itself completely original.

You may not distribute, resell, or otherwise exploit our Services without our express written permission.

How We Handle Your Data and Cookies
Your data is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect your information. Additionally, we use cookies to improve your experience on our website. For details about the types of cookies we use and your options for managing them, please review our Cookie Policy.
Limitation of Liability
Light Dropper provides its website and services on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

We are not liable for any consequential, indirect, incidental, or special damages arising out of or in connection with the use or inability to use our services. This includes but is not limited to loss of profits, revenue, data, business opportunities, goodwill, or anticipated savings.

Our total liability to you for any claims arising out of your use of our services is limited to the amount you paid for the services. Some jurisdictions do not allow exclusion of certain warranties or limitations of liability for consequential or incidental damages, so these limitations may not apply to you.
Dispute Resolution
We hope to resolve any issues informally, but if needed, disputes will be governed by the laws of the State of Michigan. If informal resolution isn’t possible, disputes may be resolved through arbitration or in small claims court in the State of Michigan.
Miscellaneous
If any part of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the rest will remain in effect. These terms represent the entire agreement between you and Light Dropper regarding the use of our services.
